The Nest is a nature space in the centre of Waihi Beach, created by Kas and Nic. With the Bay of Plenty as their home, they were drawn to Waihi Beach for its beach and bush lifestyle and small, supportive community. They established The Nest with the dream of setting up a home, a sanctuary and a sustainable learning space they can share with others.  The Nest is set on a lush, green property with a home orchard and a native “forest”. It is a welcoming sanctuary where Kas teaches yoga for all, runs a Nature School for children aged 5-12 in collaboration with Nature Library and hosts workshops and retreats. She conducts weekly yoga classes for the local school children, teenagers and adults.

The Nest has grown over the short time it has been open. It is also host to numerous retreats and workshops that align with Kas and Nic’s vision. You will find Reiki for Mum’s retreats, well-being retreats, natural oil programmes, even mushroom growing workshops and more in this tranquil space. The very first local Love Festival was held there last year. Kas states, “We wanted the community to guide the growth of The Nest as to how we could help to uplift people and bring about positive change”.
