Just over a year ago, Matt and Angela LeeMackay sold their Tauranga based group housing company. The opportunity to be closer to their six children, as well as getting tired of the commuting, they took the punt to follow their passion for bespoke residential and commercial design.
Matt has been building for over 30 years and began designing homes 20 years ago.
Together with his wife Angela, a gifted interior designer, they established their companies Hip Homes & Electric Interiors.
“We definitely have very similar tastes and opinions on design, and are always encouraging one another to dig deeper to achieve the best results for our clients,” says Matt.
Angela adds, “We take you on a path of discovery. Many people are unsure of what they want, so we take their ideas, likes and dislikes as a base for concept, through to creation and ultimate satisfaction.”
If the LeeMackay’s are not doing something creative (which is most of the time) you’ll find this family in the surf, up a mountain, or on a lake.
