No significant change to the wreck. Good weather

Oil
A total of 1006 tonnes of oil waste has now been removed.

Salvage

  • Salvors have been on-board bow section assessing state of containers.
  • 38 bags of milk powder de-vanned (removed) from a container have been removed by helicopter.
  • Smit Borneo is along side the bow section of the wreck and salvors are hoping to start container removal from the bow
  • Divers have nearly completed their assessment of the aft section. This information will help with planning of how to remove the wreck.

Wildlife
Today two grey-faced petrel will be released at sea. A small number of penguins will also be released.
