Pa Head and Viewpoint (Bowentown Domain)

Walk or drive up the hill and visit the ancient Pa-sites of Bowentown Heads.

'Pā' refers to any Maori village or defensive settlement, but often refers to hill forts – fortified settlements with palissades and defensive terraces – and also to fortified villages.
